April 2010 Update
To our dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This last month of April has been filled with much activity and good news and we are so thankful to all of you who have stood along side us in your prayers.
On the 11th of April, an ordination service and baptism service were held at ATM base in Doisaket. 15 Karen pastors, including 5 of our ATM team were ordained and 9 young people were baptized. It was a wonderful day full of the joy of the Lord and great expectancy of what he is doing and going to do in the near future.
Pastors from Rivercity Family Church and Southland Church and Inverell Christian Life Centre and friends from Australia joined us and ordained the pastors along with Pastors Timothy and Rebecca Laklem.
During their visit the team ministered at our seminar and were also able to visit and help 3 orphanages along the Thai/Burma border giving baby milk, food, toys, treats, lighting, a water pump, mats and mosquito nets.
The Discipleship Training School is on break until the 15th of May. Please continue to pray for the students as they are in their villages and reaching out to the people there and also for ATM teachers and staff as we pray and plan for the next term.
We have received good news in regards to the development of the projects we are involved in along the border. We have been given land along the border to be able to build an orphanage and bible school/outreach base as well as a shelter for victims of human trafficking. This is what we have been praying to see happen for many years and the Lord has opened the doors. Please continue to pray and believe with us for the funding for these projects to see them become a reality as we know the Lord has planned and promised. The people along the border are continually in a desperate situation with the corruption and having this land and facilities we can provide a place for these people and be able to help them and minister to them and support them in the rebuilding of their lives and have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and be touched by the love of Christ.
