The Children of the Border Project
The Children of the Border Project began in 1987 as a response to the many children along the border who live in an environment of war, heartache and little opportunity for education or a good future. Many are orphans and some are kidnnapped forced to work on the streets or as servants. This is a heartbreaking situation and we have and will continually aim to provide education, support for children's homes and safe houses as well as providing medical attention and basic living needs for these children.
Through the work and effort to bring peace in these areas we hope and are working towards providing along term secure environment which will prevent children from being in these circumstances. The building of schools and specials homes have allowed for the children to at least be in a stable place where they can be cared for and they have an opportunity to receive an education instead of being left on the streets.
This is an ongoing project and we hope to see more orphans eventually being placed in loving and caring families and in a peaceful environment. Please continue to support and pray for these children along the border, for their safety and also for those volunteers who are working to provide care and education for these children along the border...
