Disicple Training School
ATM Discipleship TrainingSchool is based in Doisaket,Chiangmai and is about 20 minutesfrom the city and 3 hoursfrom the northern Thai/Burma border.
Most of our students come from the Thai/Karen villages in the mountains north of Thailand but some also come from inside Burma and from along the Thai/Burma border.
Our heart is to give these young people an opportunity to learn from the Word of God and grow in their walk with the Lord and to see them graduate and go out with a sense of purpose and with a vision for their lives. Many return back to their villages and either build churches or minister in their home churches, teaching the Bible and evangelizing in other villages. Some students have gone on to work and support other mission organizations like Compassion, World Vision and local missionaries in Thailand and Burma.
Students who come to ATM live on campus and are provided with free food and accommodation as many are not able to afford to go to a school and this is what makes ATM different from other Training Schools.
ATM has incorporated the Online Bible School’s (OBC) Curriculum which provides a Biblical Studies course which is 1 year and Graduate and Leadership courses which add another 1-2 years onto their first year if they choose to continue.
There are Biblical study classes in the mornings from 9-12 and practical workshop classesfrom 1-4 in the afternoon. These workshops also include English classes and Interpreting, Drama, Hospitality, Music and Health with a focus on building practical skills that the students can use in ministry.
